About

Every year I participate in The FH Foundation’s Race4FH – a virtual challenge with the mission to raise funds and awareness of familial hypercholesterolemia. This genetic cholesterol condition is more common than you think and massively underdiagnosed.

Many of you may remember me pushing myself to reach the finish line of a 5k for the last two years. Know what I learned? Running is cool, but it’s not my favorite. So what is my favorite? Time to find out.

Over the next 7 weeks I will be attempting 30 different exercises in the Raleigh area and you can follow all my thoughts, feelings, and cursing here. Should you feel so inclined to show your support for my adventure, there’s a handy donation button on every post – or you can click right here.

Why 30? Glad you asked. My grandfather, Lyle Hill, had FH and had a fatal heart attack at the way-too-young age of 30. So this one’s for him!
